London Windows Direct offer a range of high quality products for the home and a fully comprehensive and extensive range of guarantees.
To ensure the guarantees are maintained for the duration of the guarantee period it is essential that good housekeeping and basic maintenance procedures are carried out by the customer. Below are highlighted those requirements to ensure these guarantees are not compromised.
a) Locks
Twice a year you'll need to spray WD40 oil (or equivalent) into all the lock hinges of your doors and windows and onto any metal to metal contact surfaces around your windows and doors. Please wipe away any excess oil with a clean cloth.
b) PVCu Frames
You'll need to make sure you clean them regularly with warm soapy water and a soft non-abrasive cloth. It is not advisable to use abrasive cleaners (i.e. as used for acrylic baths)
c) Polycarbonate Conservatory Roofs
Be sure to clean regularly with warm soapy water and a soft non-abrasive cloth. The polycarbonate conservatory roof is not designed to take the weight of a person. If the roof is difficult to access, safe cleaning is best left to a specialist cleaning firm such as those found in Yellow Pages.
d) Glass
Your glass should be cleaned with a proprietary glass cleaning liquid or soapy clean water. Care should be taken when cleaning leaded lights or stained glass areas.
e) Furniture
Handles, letterplates and door knockers should always be cleaned using warm soapy water.
